Natural Vigor Maximum. (HO)

Health Canada has removed certain sexual performance capsules from shelves in Ontario and online because they contain an unlisted drug that can be dangerous.

Tests determined Natural Vigor Maximum contains dimethylhomosildenafil — similar to the prescription drug sildenafil, which can be particularly problematic for men with heart problems, Health Canada said in a release Thursday.

The product was sold by Magic Health in Toronto, Herb Vitamin in Mississauga and Smart Health Products Inc. in Markham, as well as through its website. Health Canada said other retailers might also sell the product.

Professional Botanicals Inc. has voluntarily recalled the product.

This is the latest in a string of male sex performance products that have been removed from the market recently across the country.
