Health Canada has reversed its "precautionary" hold on Novartis flu vaccines.
Health-care professionals can start using the vaccines once again, Health Canada said in a release.
The two vaccines, Fluad and Agriflu, had been suspended by Health Canada last Friday after concerns about white clumps of protein showing up in some batches.
The federal health agency was following on a similar decision made in Europe, but lifted the suspension after finding the vaccine harmless.
"Health Canada looked at the results of its own testing, conducted a health risk assessment and reviewed information from its European partners and data submitted by Novartis in making its decision. None of the information reviewed indicated a safety issue," the agency said in a release.
