If you use Freya-28 birth control, your pills may actually be placebos.
Mylan Pharmaceuticals is recalling its Freya-28 birth control pills after a placebo pill was found in place of an active pill in one package.
Missing just one pill could lead to an unplanned pregnancy, Health Canada said.
No adverse reactions have been reported.
Health Canada advises anyone who uses Freya-28 to return unopened packages to the pharmacy and use a non-hormonal back-up contraceptive, such as condoms.
Questions or reports of adverse reactions can be directed to Health Canada at 1-800-267-9675.
