Healthy eating

Eating right can help you live well with psoriatic arthritis. Here are a few tips:

  • Choose a variety of healthy foods from all four food groups (fruits and vegetables, grains, milk and alternatives, meat and alternatives) and follow Canada's Food Guide.
  • Eat regularly – don't skip meals.
  • Avoid foods that are high in sugar, salt, and fat.
  • If you have trouble preparing meals, consider using Meals on Wheels or having a friend or family member help out with food preparation.
