How does Xatral work? What will it do for me?

Alfuzosin belongs to a group of medications known as alpha 1A receptor antagonists. It is used to treat the symptoms of enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH).

Alfuzosin helps to relax the muscles in the prostate and the opening of the bladder. This helps to improve urine flow and decrease symptoms of BPH. Alfuzosin does not slow or stop the progression of enlarged prostate.
